Andy is an independent building contractor licensed for 40 years with experience in all areas of residential construction but now specializing in remodeling and especially kitchens and bathrooms. He is well known for bringing his creativity to my projects and that he is physically working on site with his son and the other workers to ensure that everything is done to his standards. He can offer to keep a kitchen or bathroom functional during nearly the entire renovation and now also isolating the work areas with plastic sheathing for protection. People appreciate that they can do everything involved in the renovation including the electrical, plumbing, cabinet installation, drywall, painting......everything so that they do not have groups of subcontractors to deal with-just them! He has excellent reviews because he goes to great lengths to keep everybody very happy with the results.

Design Set Match started in February 2010 in the middle of the recession. Being self-employed had been a career goal and this became the perfect timing to start.
Their services include, Schematic Design, Design Development, Pre-Construction assistance, Materials Coordination, and Construction Administration. Focusing on kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry room remodels.
Listening and observing is how they start every project. They get to know the needs and wants of homeowners so that they can design a room that best matches their home, personality, and solves their current problems.
They work with homeowners who are busy professionals. Whether working long days or running their kids to multiple activities, most people don't have hours to spend going to showrooms.
Many have tried working with architects and are overwhelmed, being sent to select materials on their own or they are frustrated trying to read drawings and envision their new kitchen and bath remodel. All are trying to make responsible investment decisions and are secretly worried they may make choices they won’t like until it is too late. Design Set Match’s process assists their clients with focused, bite-sized decisions, computer generated renderings of proposed “after” photos, and reduces the amount of time their clients would spend making selections on their own by doing it together.
They typically work with homeowners who live in Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Kensington, Lafayette, Oakland, Orinda, Piedmont, San Francisco, San Rafael, Sausalito, and Walnut Creek.
With the onset of COVID-19 and shelter-in-place restrictions, they have modified their in-person meetings to zoom calls. They order samples of tile and cabinetry to drop them off at their client’s doorsteps. This allows them to be prepared when safety guidelines for construction are relaxed and remodeling may take place.

Mark Rolandelli has been in business for 33 years and located now in Lafayette. Back in 1987, Mark took over his old boss' clientele back after his retirement. Mark was 27 years old doing all State Farm insurance work back then. He started doing some custom work when the phone just kept ringing and his business continued to grow. He now specializes in large hard to do remodels and big additions in the East Bay Area. Mark has 100's of references with excellent reviews.
Mark has multiple workers with different skill sets on his team of employees and some have been with him for more than 20 years. His team also includes the best sub contractors around. He does very little advertising and runs on a great word of mouth reputation with their customers. It has been a family business with his wife, Karen running the office operations, his son Tony, carpenter, and his daughter, Ashley working as a laborer. All six of his sons and daughters have worked for him in the past 33 years.
Some of the projects they built are a 12,000 square foot automotive center from the ground up along with other commercial projects and residential houses as well. His ace in the hole has been remodels and additions. Over the years, you name it and they have done it.
His best asset is he is a great communicator, scheduler, foresees possible problems, pointing out existing faulty work, capable of fixing all the different situations and staying on a budget and job schedule.
Mark is well known in the Pleasant Hill area for his volunteer coaching of his 6 kids and hundreds of other kids for over 30 years. At one point the league was having hard times in 2006 so he needed to step up and run it with his business leadership. PHBA, at that time, had 1050 kids with a run down snack shack and maintenance sheds. After 10 years of running the league they turned it into the largest baseball and softball association in Northern California with a town of just over 30,000 people. With many volunteers and Mark, they got a bond passed in Pleasant Hill to help pay for a new park. They all got a new remodeled completed at Pleasant Oaks Park that is a dream complex. They got all the local businesses to donate materials to help build the complex. With Mark and volunteers, they built a 2500 square foot snack shack, real restrooms, a meeting room and a maintenance room in 13 months with people donating their time or money to get it done.
Mark thinks that anyone that chooses his company is going to get a great product for a great price. You get a first class professional quality job that you will be happy with after the final product is complete. They have many repeat clients who call us back for future work down the road.

Vallejo Power Washing provides cleaning services for both residential and commercial properties all around the Bay Area. If you are a home owner, having a clean curb appeal helps increase your house's value. The most efficient way to clean away years of built up dirt, oil, and debris from your driveways and sidewalks is with the proper cleaning agent through a power washer. Neglected gutters and roofs can lead to costly repairs in the future if not property maintained. For these projects Vallejo Power Washing recommends soft washing to avoid damaging the structure. If you are a business owner or a property manager, having a bright clean store exterior or office creates a more inviting entrance for potential customers.
Often times people attempt power washing and pressure washing themselves since it looks straightforward. However, without the proper training and understanding of the different cleaning detergents, equipment pressure, and nozzle tips, your DIY project could potentially turn into unexpected damages. Contact the professionals at Vallejo Power Washing, they can provide a free quote instantly for most projects over the phone!

Cardona Landscape is all about quality and either Arnold or his father are at every job site making sure that the work gets done right. Mandarin Garden is a family run Chinese restaurant that has been serving authentic Chinese food in the Concord area for 30+ years. Chef Ruey (Ray) Wang has single-handedly cooked every dish over that period of time, following the same recipes he learned growing up in China from his father and perfecting it over the years. He prides himself in hand-selecting the majority of the produce, protein, and ingredients used in his dishes every Saturday morning.
While Ruey does all the prep and cooking in the kitchen, his wife, Shirley, handles everything in the front of the house. Taking orders, serving food, receiving phone calls, and cleaning tables. It’s amazing how 1 couple with minimal staff are able to handle an entire restaurant.
As for the food, whether you prefer westernized Chinese food like Orange Chicken or Mongolian Beef, or something traditional like a black bean sauce with hand-pulled noodles (jajangmyeun), or my personal favorite the fried chicken wings (Mandarin Chicken), you can always expect high quality and fresh dishes. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant has been staying busy thanks to their loyal customers continuing to come by for take out orders. Next time you are passing through Concord near Monument Blvd, stop by Mandarin Garden to pick up some lunch or dinner!

Hi-Definition Barbershop was started by young entrepreneur, Max Lober. His mother was a salon owner in Berlin, Germany and always told herself that one day she would open up a salon in California. That day became a reality when she opened Hi-Definition Salon. In the summer of 2015 when Leela, Max's mother, decided she was going to step back from the shop she offered it to Max to take over. From there, Max took over Hi-Definition Salon and had his own barber chair in the corner of the salon. A couple years later, Max decided to open up his own location with a new name, Hi-Definition Barbershop which was geared towards men's cuts, fades, and beard trims. He opened up his shop in Walnut Creek just a couple blocks away from the salon. At this location, he took on a business partner, Kevin Arredondo, who is the co-owner and runs this location. As Max and Kevin added more barbers to their shop, Max decided to open another Hi-Definition Barbershop at the same location as the salon but just next door. Max and Kevin both co-own the barbershops and manage their respective shops. They continue to add great barbers to their shop and have excellent reviews on Yelp, Google, Facebook, and Vagaro, salon reservation platform. If you are near Walnut Creek and you are looking for a barbershop, check them out. They offer the cleanest cuts and fades in Walnut Creek!
